Thomas Jefferson still has a bitter taste from last year’s loss in the WPIAL semifinals.
The bar remains as high as ever for the Jaguars this season. The program is a well-oiled machine that counts on its players to maintain consistently high objectives.
“The kids have those expectations for themselves, so for us as a program and as coaches, we really don’t have to set that,” head coach Bill Cherpak said. “They know the standard, they know the bar is high, and they accept it.
“When they work, that’s really what they’re working towards. Their goals are always to win the WPIAL and the state and I don’t even have to press that into their minds.”
