The president of Pennsylvania One Call on Wednesday confirmed that a private contractor working at the Common Ground Building in McKeesport did not dial 811 to report the work done on a handicap-accessible ramp. On Tuesday, two private contractor workers were injured and taken to area hospitals while working on the ramp at the rear of the city-owned building on the 400 block of Ninth Street where an explosion occurred. Officials have yet to confirm what caused the explosion at the building, which was formerly the McKeesport YWCA and was home to several small businesses.
