Pop Up & Play mixes fun with valuable lessons

The events are held each summer at parks in the city and give kids a chance to participate in fun, yet educational activities that focus on healthy lifestyles, physical activity and wellness.

This year’s season of Pop Up and Play events in McKeesport came to a close Tuesday evening at Riverview Park. Each summer, the AIU McKeesport Family Center, through the McKeesport Healthier Communities PartnerSHIP — also known as the McKeesport SHIP (State Health Improvement Plan) — offers the Pop Up and Play series at city parks.
