Funeral services were held for Darlene G. Pritchard Cox, 75, of Monongahela, who passed away on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at Canonsburg Hospital. She was born in New Eagle on Aug. 20, 1947, daughter of the late Charles and Bernadette Volker Pritchard. Darlene graduated from Monongahela High School and worked for many years at the former Daily Herald newspaper in Monongahela, until its closing. A lifetime member of the Valley Inn Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, she was an avid reader and always enjoyed going to yard sales. A friend to all and a loving mother and grandmother, Darlene is survived by her son, Matthew Cox of Canonsburg; two grandsons, Bryce and Ryan Cox; and her dear friend, Alice Hodgson of Monongahela. Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles H. Cox, who died Sept. 20, 2019; and her brother, Shawn.
