It’s never too early for a big game in the section standings and the Bentworth girls soccer team found themselves in one Wednesday at Section 2-A newcomer South Allegheny.
While it’s still early in the season, however, nothing really got solved as the teams battled to a 1-1 tie after 100 minutes of soccer.
“I thought we really played a good game minus maybe early in the first half,” Bentworth head coach Tyler Hamstra said. “With a young team like we have, honestly, I think coming up here and getting a tie is a little like a win for us. I see a lot of things that show me we’re just getting better and better with each game.”
