Mail-in and absentee-ballot applications are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 1, and elections workers advise those interested to not wait. If voters apply in person at their local county election bureau, it can likely be processed before the voter leaves. The elections bureau will send voters home with their ballots and all materials needed to vote.
