After suffering its first loss of the season last week against Monessen, California was looking to bounce back Friday at home in a Tri-County South Conference contest against Mapletown. Unfortunately for the Trojans, they ran into a buzzsaw in Maples’ senior running back Landon Stevenson in a 52-20 setback.
