For the Mon Valley Independent

For the second time this year, I was invited to train and compete with the USA Handball Senior National Team in Paris. Of course, I couldn’t say no to the opportunity, so I was off to France!
I connected with one of my teammates in New York City, and we traveled through the night to Paris before finally arriving in Meudon, the community that hosted us for our training camp and international tournament.
The training camp officially started with a welcome dinner where I met the Meudon mayor and their deputy mayor for sports, along with my new teammates. I was especially happy to be reunited with teammates who had also been to the first Paris camp.
We began our first day of training after enjoying a traditional French breakfast complete with chocolate croissants. (I sure had missed those French pastries).
