Dorothy L. Bloomer, 92, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, in her home. A daughter of the late Harold and Vina Peace Whittle, she was born in Insull, Ky., on March 13, 1930. Formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dorothy had been a resident of Rostraver since 1968. She was a member of the Charleroi Baptist Church, where she was the former pianist. Dorothy loved to complete jigsaw puzzles. She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Bloomer and her friend Lisa Lewandowski of Rostraver Township; a son and daughter in-law, Curtis “Buddy” and Connie Bloomer of Lancaster, Ky.; and a granddaughter, Megan Bloomer of Richmond, Ky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis E. Bloomer, on May 19, 1990; and a granddaughter, Amanda Bloomer, on June 5, 2001. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
