Cougars beat Trojans in back-and-forth affair

Charleroi overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to claim a 74-68 road triumph over California in nonsection play Wednesday night. The Cougars (2-2) used a stout defensive effort to limit the Trojans to just 21 second-half points, while they got the job done on the offensive end of the floor with 34 in the final 16 minutes.
