Down five points with the game dwindling down to its final minutes, Thomas Jefferson was saved by Evan Berger, who went on a solo 9-0 run to propel the Jaguars to a 77-68 victory over McKeesport on day two of the Mon Valley Independent Shootout Classic at Ringgold High School. “Evan was sensational down the stretch,” Thomas Jefferson coach Dom DeCicco said. “That’s what great players should do.”
