Suspect will stand trial in shooting death

After a contentious, five-hour preliminary hearing Friday in Washington County Central Court, a 29-year-old Charleroi man was ordered to stand trial on firearms and homicide charges related to the Oct. 10 shooting death of Jaisen Irwin at Bob’s Tavern in Finleyville. Keaundre Crews of Grange Road was held for court Friday on two of four charges against him, including the most serious charge of homicide. Maurissa Spencer, 24, of Library waived her right to a preliminary hearing Friday and was ordered to stand trial on charges of homicide, conspiracy in aiding to commit homicide, hindering apprehension by concealing or destroying evidence, tampering with evidence and recklessly endangering another person.
