After two strong performances in the second annual Mon Valley Independent Shootout Classic, Thomas Jefferson’s Evan Berger was named the tournament’s most outstanding player Sunday. Berger scored 42 points in an 83-63 victory over Belle Vernon Area on Friday before netting 29 in a dramatic 77-68 win over McKeesport on Saturday.
