Big’s Sanitation took over trash and recycling collection in McKeesport on Jan. 1, and McKeesport City Hall says the company is working hard to get collection days back to a sense of normalcy.
In the spirit of getting everyone on the same page, Big’s Sanitation and the McKeesport Mayor’s Office are asking city residents to familiarize themselves with the trash/recycling pickup schedule.
To do their part to make the transition more smooth, city residents can refer to an advertisement on page A11 of today’s edition of the Mon Valley Independent.
The ad lists the city’s streets and what day garbage is slated to be picked up on those roads.
“We’re working hard to get McKeesport back on the garbage collection schedule that the city maintained for decades,” said Joe Eori, owner of Big’s Sanitation, which is based in Rostraver Township.
