Students throughout the Belle Vernon Area School District can make a difference for the next few weeks through the “Sock it to Homelessness” sock drive. The drive, now in its second year, starts today and will run until Feb. 1. It collects pairs of socks for veterans in need through the Veterans Leadership Program in Pittsburgh. Students can find donation boxes around the office of every Belle Vernon Area school, and there will be a box at Elite Physical Therapy as well.
