Gators roll Hounds, snap winning streak

Jaydis Kennedy scored 44 points and Geibel Catholic avenged an earlier loss in the season to Monessen with a 75-55 victory in Section 2-1A boys basketball action Friday night at Geibel Catholic High School. Kennedy made 15 field goals, including one 3-pointer, and was 13 for 17 at the foul line. The loss snaps a 15-game winning streak for the Greyhounds (15-2, 5-1). Monessen defeated the Gators (11-6, 5-1) by a similar margin (63-44) on Jan. 3. Geibel is currently on a nine-game winning streak.
