Plunging into 2023: Glassport American Legion holds a chilly fundraiser

Glassport American Legion dove into the new year Sunday with its fourth annual Polar Bear Plunge. Legion members and residents closed their eyes, held their breath and plugged their noses before jumping into the Monongahela River near a landing off Harrison Street. “You just kind of stop thinking about it and just do it,” Adriana Pistilli, 15, said. “It’s still pretty cold though.”
