Stephen Nestor Levkulich – Charleroi

Stephen was born in Charleroi, to Stephen John Levkulich and Anna Nitch Levkulich on Dec. 24, 1940. He passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, in St. Louis, Mo., of natural causes. He grew up in Charleroi before moving to New York. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964 then attended Penn State where he earned a degree in engineering. Stephen lived in Daytona, Fla., before moving to Rochester, N.Y. Stephen worked at Isaly’s, Fuller Brush, Breakfast Cheer Coffee and Xerox where he made some great friendships including David DeMaria, Carl Lehr and Tomas Skaper. A musician, gardener, and traveler who loved reading and spending time with his nephews, David and Chris. A Conservative and a member of the Republican Party who was a staunch Donald Trump supporter. An avid Steelers, Nittany Lion and Bill’s fan, who thoroughly enjoyed analytically scrutinizing the NFL match ups on a weekly basis. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Stephen. He loved a quiet evening of playing Gin and dinner with Ingrid and Melissa and conversations with Lynn and Gary. His pleasant personality was contagious with everyone he met. A life well lived. He will be sadly missed by brother, Emil (Diane); nephews, Jason (Charessa), Chris (Melissa) and David Pollacci; nieces, Leslie Pollacci and Lori Pollacci. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Anna Levkulich; and sister, Mary Ann Pollacci. As with all people, life comes to an end.
