Charel Allen said just one of the many reasons she made the move east to join the Notre Dame coaching staff is the proximity to her hometown.
Now, the former Monessen and Notre Dame great will make her first trip back to the region as a member of the Fighting Irish coaching staff.
The No. 9 Fighting Irish (17-3, 8-2) travel to Pittsburgh’s Petersen Events Center to face the Panthers (7-14, 0-10) at 2 p.m. Feb. 19.
Allen’s mother, Rotina Johnson, is looking to make her daughter’s return a Monessen reunion.
A bus will be provided for those wishing to attend the game, leaving SPSH parking lot in Monessen at 12 p.m. Those traveling on the bus are asked to board before 11:45 a.m.
Tickets are $20, which includes bus transportation and admission into the game. The bus will also stop at Buffalo Wild Wings in Pleasant Hills to eat following the game.
To reserve your seat, reach out to Charel’s mother, Rotina Johnson by emailing [email protected] or via phone at 724-263-0157.
