In light of the recent tragedy that took McKeesport police Officer Sean Sluganski’s life and left Officer Chuck Thomas wounded, students and staff at Elizabeth Forward High School’s iSH Company have come up with a fundraiser to help the police department.
The iSH (In Student Hands) Company has been a fixture in the Elizabeth Forward School District since 2017, behind the leadership of tech-education teacher Megan Smith. What started as an after-school club is now being taught in two class periods a day to offer students insight into being an entrepreneur.
Seniors Katie Glessner and Ashley McKernan came to Smith with the idea to sell T-shirts and donate the profits to the McKeesport Police Department. After they got the green light, the company got right to work on designs and sales.
