Leps rely on team effort to top Quakers

While Belle Vernon Area’s Zion Moore led the way by scoring 32 points in the No. 10 Leopards’ 81-55 win over No. 7 Quaker Valley Monday night, coach Joe Salvino was impressed most by his squad’s togetherness. “It was a team effort and that’s what we have to do. We have to play as a team, and I don’t think that we’ve played like a team much all year,” he said before naming an 84-82 loss to North Hills as an instance in which the Leopards played as a team. If we’re playing as a team, we can be a very good team. When we play as individuals, we’re just another mediocre ballclub.”
