Monessen council has removed the “interim” tag from city Administrator Mike Korposh’s title and given him a one-year contract. “Mr. Korposh has been serving as interim administrator since March, so now he’s stuck with us until at least next January,” said Solicitor Joe Dalfonso, who prepared the contract. Korposh and city Clerk Cheryl Gordon both received their employment contracts for 2023 at last week’s meeting. They will expire at council’s reorganizational meeting in January 2024.
