Ringgold retains most honors courses

The Ringgold school board approved the 2023-24 program of studies Wednesday, abating previous worries about vast cuts to honors courses. Last month, parents raised concerns after hearing administrators planned to cut honors courses at the high school. During January’s public meeting, parents claimed teachers told their children about the rumor. Assistant Superintendent Tom Grierson clarified the issue during the same meeting, explaining that the issue was overblown and the administration annually sits down with teachers and reviews curriculums.
