In a milestone night for the career of Hampton’s Meghan Murray, it was McKeesport who claimed a 55-44 victory to move on to the Class 5A WPIAL semifinals against section foe Oakland Catholic. Murray knocked down two free throws with 2:55 remaining to give Hampton a 44-43 lead, and in the process scored her 20th point of the game which pushed her to 1,000 in her career. However, that was the last point the No. 11 Talbots (15-9) scored in their upset bid as No. 3 McKeesport (20-4) finished the contest on a 12-0 run to cap off a massive win Friday night.
