Fallowfield Township supervisors have declared an emergency repair necessary to a bridge that connects Butsko Road to Route 917.
The bridge was heavily damaged after a hit-and-run accident in late January. Supervisors discussed the accident and plans to move forward at a meeting last month. During last night’s board meeting supervisors took steps to move forward with an emergency repair that will cost roughly $21,000.
Township secretary Karen Talbert said a resident called the township office to report damage Jan. 19.
State police were called to investigate and determined it the damage was due to a hit-and-run.
