At this week’s Monessen council meeting, a former city alderman and councilman from the ’70s and ’80s was honored with a mayoral proclamation. Mayor Ron Mozer took time to honor the late Joseph “Feecho” Cieply. Cieply was a retired steelworker and a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army’s 100th Infantry Division.
