Lauranne “Toots” Stewart, 82, of Elco, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Premier in Washington. She was born in North Charleroi on Oct. 28, 1940, a daughter of Edwin and Opal Crabb Cairns. Lauranne was Presbyterian by faith and belonged to her card club. She is survived by her son, Mark Stewart of Elco; two grandsons, Mark A. (Anna) Stewart of Long Branch and Colt (Bree) Stewart of Elco; a granddaughter, Ashely (Seth) Rowan of Elizabeth; five great-grandchildren, Parker, Tyler and Charlie Stewart and Maddox and Karina Rowan; and a brother, Jack Cairns of Fenwick Island, Md. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Stewart, in 1971; and her daughter, Beth Ann Stewart. Per Lauranne’s wishes, visitation and funeral services will be private.
