Rostraver Township fields more complaints over landfill

Concerns about the Westmoreland Sanitary Landfill once again became the topic of discussion during the Rostraver Township commissioner’s work session Wednesday.
Rostraver Township resident Jack Kruell joined Duquesne University professor Dr. John Stolz in voicing several concerns with operations at the landfill, located off of Tyrol Boulevard.
Kruell, a vocal critic of the landfill, shared troubling test results showing heavy metals, chemicals and toxins emitting from his Johnson Avenue property he claims are due to the landfill.
