Brothers Gordon McCulloch and Evan Wallace have taken over their family’s appliance business with a new location in Monongahela called Chess Street Appliance.
“It was a stepping point for my future and Evan’s as well,” McCulloch said. “There’s a lot to look forward to.”
David McCulloch, who passed away in 2020, ran McCulloch’s Appliances in McKeesport. Chess Street Appliance had its ribboncutting ceremony and grand opening in May, which was attended by Washington County Commissioner Nick Sherman, among other local officials and members of the business community.
The shop, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, is located at 400 Chess St., and can be contacted at 724-971-0088 or on Facebook, where the shop regularly shows off its products.
