Lon R. Cooke, 76, of Donora, passed away suddenly Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at his home in Donora. He was born July 2, 1947, in Uniontown, the son of the late Harold and Roseanne Cooke. Lon was veteran of the Vietnam War, having served as a corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Louise (Fincik) Cooke; children, Lon Cooke III, Harold Cooke, Allen Cooke, Cecelia Geyer and Shelly Rabe; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Edward Zelenick, Jeffrey (Bobbie Jo) Zelenick, Kimberly (Ron) Struniak and Sylvia Zelenick; grandchildren, Tyler, Jennifer, Joshua and Zachary; great-grandson Cutler; and a sister, Sandra Cooke of Ohio.
