Ramona A. Sapone, 94, of Monessen, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, in Jefferson Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on Sept. 19, 1928, in Arnold City, Pa., daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Dunay Sepesky. She was loved by so many, including her special bingo friends, Josh, Mandy, Hunter and Kelly; her grand-dog, Bentley, and her special great grand dog, Calie, whom she adored so much. She loved watching the Pittsburgh Pirates play and always rooted for Andrew McCutchen. She loved gambling at the casino, playing cards and of course bingo. She was a feisty, strong-willed, caring and giving person. She was a member of the former St. Leonard’s Catholic Church and an active member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, where she used to help with funeral lunches, festivals and other events. She was also a former member of the Epiphany Ladies and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Special thanks to Rostraver EMS for the times we called them when she needed to go to the hospital and for all the love and care they showed, not only at those times, but while we used them for wheelchair transportation to get her to and from dialysis. Thank you to her wonderful care team of home health through AHN and her loving and caring team of caregivers, Patti, Courtney, Kelly and Stacy. She loved you all as if you were her own. Thank you to all the wonderful nurses and staff on five north at Jefferson Hospital for taking care of her until the end. She is survived by her son, William S.
