McKeesport gets $125K grant for health study

McKeesport announced Monday that the city was awarded a $125,000 grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to develop a community plan to address chronic disease and social determinants of health. The grant was part of the CDC’s Closing the Gap with Social Determinants of Health Accelerator Plans. It focuses on community-clinical connections and food and nutrition security.
