As Donora continues to try to unravel the correct start and stop dates of the borough’s seat on the Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority, council members want to take some time to evaluate all boards and authorities to keep such confusion from happening again. Councilman Fred Berestecky has been the borough’s representative on the MMVTA board since October 2018. In October 2023, the authority sent the borough a letter stating that Berestecky’s term was about to expire and reminded council to appoint someone.
