A. Patricia Sholtis Behanna, 97, of Rostraver Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024. Born in Rostraver Township on Feb. 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Huhra Sholtis. Patsy graduated from Rostraver High School in 1944 and was a lifelong resident of Rostraver Township. She retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Works in Connellsville. She is survived by her grandchildren, Justin (Michelle) Rossell of Irwin, Rachael Shields of West Newton, Jared Rossell of Rostraver and Colleen Rossell of Burlington, Vt.; great-grandson, Jackson Rossell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Behanna; son, Timothy D. Rossell; four sisters, Anna Toman, Mary Balko, Helen Dombrosky and Florence Shimchick; and two brothers, George Sholtis Jr. and Bernard Sholtis. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Roselo Melloria officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
