Fallowfield Township supervisors unanimously agreed to pass a new resolution Wednesday that will help the Alta Vista Business Park in Fallowfield Township continue to flourish.
A new tax abatement program will help ensure continued growth and expansion at the business park, which is nearly totally occupied.
Washington County officials have already given their stamp of approval for the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance (LERTA) program.
Fallowfield Supervisor Chairman Bruce Smith said the township won’t loose any revenue from entering into the LERTA program, and down the road, will benefit from having properties with a larger assessed value on the tax rolls once the program expires.
The Charleroi Area School Board is expected to vote on the resolution at an upcoming meeting.
