Big inning lifts Leopards over Falcons

Belle Vernon did all of their scoring in one inning, but it was plenty to lead the Leopards to a non-section win over visiting Connellsville Thursday on Tom Rodriguez Field in Washington Township. Katie Sokol hammered a two-run homer to open the scoring before the Leopards (4-0) added three more runs with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning to come away with a 5-0 win over the Falcons (4-2).
