Middle schooler holds dinner to benefit humane society

A California Area Middle School student hopes to be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society — in the meantime he’s done something to help his community and furry friends in need. Seventh-grader LJ Pollock helped to raise nearly $3,000 for the Washington Area Humane Society over the weekend.
