Vera E. Dalfonso, 65, of Monessen, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Friday, March 8, 2024, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on Feb. 25, 1959, in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Peter P. and Emily R. Lucas Duralia. She worked as a realtor for many years for Drake Real Estate and Northwood Realty. She also worked for Monessen Foodland in the bakery, where she was known for her “gobs.” She is survived by her sons, Charles and Ryan Dalfonso of Monessen; brother, Paul (Margaret) Lucas; sisters, Patricia (Shawn) Casey, Amy Dudeck and Barb Bradley; two goddaughters, Melissa Dudeck and Dannielle (Patrick) Skrypak; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Dalfonso; and her mother and father-in-law, Thomas P. and Elizabeth Roscoe Dalfonso. Private funeral services were entrusted to DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery Monessen, next to her husband.
