Charleroi Area High School senior girls were honored Friday at a lunchtime tea in a tradition that dates back 76 years. The Athene Club of Charleroi, founded in 1902 and named for the Greek goddess of wisdom, held the event at Marian Hall at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish. The event’s signature sponsor was cfsbank. Danielle Maurer, the bank’s chief operating and retail officer, and Kelly Moore, the bank’s Charleroi branch manager, are Athene Club members.
