In 1874, Ulysses Grant was president, Levi Strauss patented his design for work pants and a group of Christians in the small country town of Belle Vernon founded a new church. One-hundred-fifty years later, Grant is on the $50 bill, everyone wears blue jeans and First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon is still going strong and serving the community.
