Frances “Tead” Oliver, of Belle Vernon, daughter of the late Lloyd and Margaret Trader, passed away on April 5, 2020, at the age of 93. She was a 1942 graduate of Belle Vernon High School. Frances devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and was most proud of the times she spent with them. Frances in her younger days liked to knit, play cards and was a pageant coach and judge. She took great joy in displaying photos and albums of her family. She is the widow of Joseph Oliver, who died less than two months ago. Frances didn’t have an underlying medical history and the family believes she died of a “broken heart.” Later this month would have been their 75th wedding anniversary. She is survived by two adult children, daughter, Margaret Oliver Elmore, R.N., and son, Thomas Oliver. She was a grandmother to Lori Oliver, Ph.D., Erin Elmore, Esq., and Ashley Elmore Bosonac, Ph.D.; and a great-grandmother to three great-grandsons. Frances will be cremated and there will be no viewing or services per her lifelong wishes. Everyone who knew her well was aware of her desires to by-pass the pomp and circumstance and be uplifted directly to Heaven.
