Andjelia “Julia” A. Bradovich Tarabrella, 93, of Monongahela, died on Nov. 7, 2019, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Aug. 4, 1926, in South Greensburg, a daughter of the late Helen Cindrich and Theodore Bradovich. Julia attended the former St. Leonard School as a resident and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1945. Julia was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, (formerly St. Anthony Church) in Monongahela and had belonged to their Altar Rosary-Christian Mothers Society, Catholic Daughters of the America, Secular Order of St. Francis, People Concerned for the Unborn Child and the Columbiettes, also volunteering at Albert Gallatin Homecare and Hospice, the Catholics United for Life, Pennsylvanians for Human, Lifeline of Western Pennsylvania, Ladies of Charity, Catholic League, as Catechism Teacher at the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, and was a former employee of the Monongahela Library. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Paul C. Tarabrella; two daughters, Paulette Tarabrella and Carol Schneider; three sons, Michael (Christine) Tarabrella, Timothy (Jane) Tarabrella and James Tarabrella; six grandchildren, Thomas Dierker, Kimberly (Daniel) Alvers, Jason (Mandi Reiber), Rebecca, Cathy and Blanche Tarabrella; and six great-grandchildren, Meadow, Avery, Samuel and Nicholas Tarabrella and Gunner and Eliza Alvers; and one grandchild on the way; also surviving is one sister, Danitza Uhring; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was a son, Robert Tarabrella; a brother, Michael Bradovich; three sisters, Mary Nalevenko, Mildred DeCarlo, and Lillian Uhrinek; a son-in-law, William Schneider; and a granddaughter-in-law, Aimee (Petrocelli) Tarabrella. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at which time blessing prayers will begin followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in St. Damien of Molokai Parish with Father Kevin Dominik as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
