The Charleroi boys soccer team is ready to kick off its season in a new classification and without the school’s all-time leading goal scorer.
But if opponents are expecting a different Cougars’ squad now that Eben McIntyre has graduated, they have another thing coming.
“I think the boys have heard all about it and everyone is out there ready to prove themselves,” Charleroi head coach Jon Ducoli said. “You don’t replace a player like Eben. It was great when he was here and we were fortunate to have him. But there are guys on the roster that are able to put up some numbers. We’re all on the same page with each other, it’s just going to be a matter of finding the right matchups and balance in a whole new section.”
