Program to focus on Donora Smog

The Group Against Smog and Pollution will host a free virtual event at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Donora Smog.

The Pittsburgh-based Group Against Smog and Pollution (GASP) will hold a free virtual event Wednesday focusing on the Donora Smog of 1948. The event, called “Making the Connection: Lessons Learned 74 Years After the Donora Smog Disaster,” will explore the social and environmental repercussions of the smog through rare historical videos, expert testimony and retold stories of people who experienced it.
